Aflac Earned Premium Increases in 3rd Quarter 2019

Aflac, the leader in the supplemental health insurance market, recently released its third quarter premium and sales results, reporting $1.445 billion in earned premium during 3rd Quarter 2019, an increase of $19 million compared to 3rd Quarter 2018.  The company also reported annualized new sales premium of $244 million (only including HIP, CI, Accident, Dental/Vision product lines) during 3rd Quarter 2019, down $11 million when compared to 3rd Quarter 2018.  This is the third straight quarter where new sales premiums were down when compared to the same quarter in 2018.
