Anthem, Inc. released 1st quarter 2019 financials on April 24th, adding 21,000 Medicare Supplement lives in the 1st quarter and 30,000 Medicare Supplement lives over the two quarters. The Anthem enrollment table below features Medicare Supplement policy in-force counts of 867,000 as of 3/31/2019, a 44,000 increase in the past year. The 44,000 lives growth in the past year is a 5.3% increase over the in-force lives at 1st quarter 2018. Torchmark reported 1st quarter 2019 Medicare Supplement annualized new sales of $15.9 million, up 2% from 1st quarter 2018. For the past 12 months Torchmark reported Medicare Supplement annualized new sales of $74.5 million, 8% higher than the previous 12 months and ranking in the top 9 in the market.
